The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) has launched a publication on outstanding practices that contribute to reaching the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). The UN hopes that these examples provide inspiration to Governments and stakeholders in their efforts to address crisis, reduce the risk of future potential emergencies and deliver on the ambitious and inclusive vision of the 2030 Agenda.
We are proud to be featured among the 16 practices from all over the world! We are thankful to UN DESA for showcasing the EKOenergy ecolabel as an SDG good practice:
“EKOenergy’s work highlights the importance of buying sustainable energy, and through communication, encourages the public to account for sustainability issues by demonstrating small yet impactful practices that people can incorporate into their daily lives.“
The publication highlights EKOenergy’s role in the realisation of the following SDGs:
- SDG 7: Affordable and clean energy
- SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities
- SDG 12: Responsible consumption and production
- SDG 13: Climate action
- SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals
