💚 EKOenergy partnered with the @wwindea, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association and Global100RE to support the #renewables4ukraine campaign, as well the launch of their fundraising website.

It is estimated that around 40% of Ukrainian energy infrastructure has been destroyed by Russian attacks. On-site renewable energy installations have been providing crucial relief to Ukrainian communities during these difficult months.

Current donations to the #renewables4ukraine campaign are used to ensure an adequate electricity supply for critical civilian infrastructure such as hospitals and schools.

☀ EKOenergy granted 30,000 € to a project of @greenempowerment to bring reliable, 24-hour renewable energy solutions to 3 health facilities in Uganda, 2 of which are in the West Nile region where 50% of the country's refugee population is located.

They partnered with @medical.teams.international and @mandulisenergy to increase access to maternal and child health services for over 82,000+ people in Uganda. Before this project, these facilities only had a limited electricity access of 1-6 hours per day, while 69% of the annual deliveries at these clinics occur at night.

Thanks to users of EKOenergy-labelled renewables worldwide for making it possible for us to support impactful projects such as this one.

⛔️ Together with 60 other organisations, we're asking banks to not fund oil giant #Equinor's climate-wrecking North Sea Rosebank oil field.

Major banks, including Barclays, JPMorgan and BNP Paribas, have supported Equinor with loans and other financing totaling over US$ 16 billion since 2016. These banks have committed to align their financing with the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement. But the Rosebank oil field would breach the UK's climate targets.

The Rosebank project is a threat to our climate, oceans and future. It won't lower bills or make our energy supply safer but will make millions for Equinor.

Banks should push the oil giant to stop Rosebank, or cut ties if the company moves ahead.

If we cut off the financing, we can #StopRosebank. No funding, no field.
